THE FEET CAN MEASURE THE HEIGHT

The bones of the feet can tell a lot about a person. What do feet reveal about a person's height? Forensic anthropologists team up with law enforcers to help solve crimes.
Bones of the feet can reveal an interesting fact about an individual. Let's combine math with forensics to see how.

Aim:  To use forensic science techniques to measure the height of a criminal.

Material:

  1.  1-meter ruler
  2. your self

Steps:

  1.  Get a 1- meter ruler and ready to see how tall are you
  2.  Standing in front of the wall then use the ruler to see how tall are you
  3.  use the ruler to see how big is your feet
  4.  then write down the number of how tall are you and how big your feet is

Findings:

Name
Foot  (cm)
Height (cm)
harry0.27 cm1.65 meter
Patrick30 cm,1.57 meter

my foot is 16% of my height

15 is the number used by investigators to determine a person's height based on their feet. This is because 15% of a person's height is the length of their foot.

Find out what percentage of your height is your feet. To do this you need to:
Divide the length of each person's foot by his/her height then multiply it by 100.

15 is the number used by investigators to determine a person's height based on their feet. This is because 15% of a person's height is the length of their foot.

Fo Guang Shang Buddhist Temple

Yesterday we when to  Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple to learn 3G 4G with the school. At begin,
we have drave the bus to  Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple, when we over there I have seen there were so many
Chinese people. Then we have divided into team 1 and team2. I was in team 1, we have gone to the top at first,
and we have seen the library at the top, in the library there were so many Chinese books, but there were not any
computer. After that, we were going down and watch movies we also have mack some flowers. then the person
has shown us a movie, the name of this movie is a Chinese name but I forget so I can’t tell you.but I can tell you,
the movie was so fun. after that, we went outside and got some water and cookies the people in the Fo Guang
Shang Buddhist Temple. When we finish eating we went back inside also the two group were mix together,
then we go up and we were sit down and be Quiet for 3 minutes and let us be calm. then the people in Fo
Guang Shang Buddhist Temple have given us wind chimes.

At last, we come back to school at 12:00 am.

this the flower we mack this is the wind chimes

Aim: To learn about a saturated solution and how to make crystals
Definition of the solution:
A liquid mixture, when something is dissolved into a liquid (eg: sugar in water)

Definition of saturated:
Having or holding as much as can be absorbed of something (when no more sugar or borax can be dissolved into the water)

In groups of three you will make three different types of crystals and compare the results.

Image result for borax crystals

Ratio; 3 Tablespoons Borax per 1/2 cup water

Materials

1)borax
2)cup
3)pen
4) water
5) stick
6) peg
7) pimp cleaners

Process

Step 1: get a cup and stick
Step 2: get a pan
Step 3: writ sugar, salt, borax on each cups
Step 4: put hot water in the borax cup
Step 5: put borax in the cup and mix with warm water.
step 6  use peg to tilt the pimp cleaners to a star then use the peg to tit the pimp cleaners
Sugar Crystals

Grow your own Sugar Crystals

Ratio: 1 cup sugar to 1/2 cup water

Materials

1)sugar
2)cup
3)pen
4) water
5) stick

Process

Step 1: get a cup and a stick
Step 2: get a pan
Step 3: write sugar on
Step 4: put warm water in the cup
Step 5: put 6 sugar in the cup
Step 6: use the stick  to mix the warm water with sugar
step 7: put wool on the stick then put one the cup.

Image result for how to make salt crystals

Ratio: 4 Tablespoons salt to 1/2 cup water

Materials

1)salt
2)cup
3)pen
4) water
5) stick
6)wool

Process

Step 1: get a cup and a stick
Step 2: get a pan
Step 3: write salt on
Step 4:  put warm water in the cup
Step 5:  put 2 spoon salt in the cup
Step 6: put wool on the stick then put on the cup

What crystals worked out best and why?:
borax crystal is the best crystal because it was bigger and also is so fun.

Conclusion:
Making crystal was so fun because you can see what going on when you finding the crystal. also making crystal was need some time to see the crystal.

Explain how the following crystals are formed:

Type
Explanation
Salt
Image result for salt crystal
when the water evaporates from the solution, then the Na and Ci bond together,  then the molecules from the water evaporates bond together, every time when the molecule forms, the shape of the molecule are the same.

Sugar

when the water evaporates, then the solution becomes saturated and sugar, then molecules will keep come out of the solution and also collect on the seed crystals on the string, the rock candy crystals grow molecule by molecule.

Snowflakes
Image result for snowflake crystal

when the cold water droplets freeze on pollen or dust particles in the sky then snowflakes begin to form when extremely, snowflakes  have six arms.
